| Antique Dome Top Trunk Large Size - Tray Circa 1880 SOLD At 36.5"L X 29"H X 22"W, this is a large size dome top from the 1880's. Good solid wood construction and a nice mix of cast metal hardware including the unusual stop hinges with their patent date of 1878. New leather handles have been applied and the outside has a nice but still rustic sort of appeal. Scores pretty well on the pirate chest look. The inside is finished wood showing a nice variety of colors and perfectly suited for storage. A compartment has been made into the lid and a new tray is included. My dinning room table is just shy of 30"H if that helps give some scale to the 29" height of this trunk. |
