A fairly standard dome top trunk from around the late 1800 to early 1900's. This trunk measures
32.5"L X 20.5"H X 16.5"W so is a smaller size trunk but not so small as to get lost in the shadows. It
has a mix of exposed wood and embossed tin panels which have been painted yellow and then
toned to appear more softer and in character with the wood. Being a smaller trunk, full size handles
were a bit overpowering so I just went with some good thick harness leather and secured them with
trunk nails and then drove in some 1800's steel trunk buttons to cover the nail heads. Looks pretty
alright and fits the trunk just fine. The remaining hardware is original including the lock although I
do not believe it is functional.
The interior is simply exposed wood which has been finished. Nice and clean and very suitable for
use as you wish.
A pretty standard type antique trunk but it very much has a nice look in person.
