Brass Buttoned Stagecoach Trunk
Working Lock w/Key
New Tray and Interior
Circa 1860
SOLD

A nice stagecoach trunk from around 1860. This trunk measures 28"L X 16"H X 15"W and is
adorned with 5 metal bands running over it which are secured by its original brass buttons. All
buttons are in great shape with just 3 having
very minor nicks on the brass covering. New stitched
handles have been applied and it is just a good solid trunk. The lock functions perfectly and comes
with a working large bore barrel key as was original.

The interior has been recovered using 2 different materials. There is a patterned material on the
upper section in sort of a camel color with a dash of blue and white while the bottom section of the
trunk is in a solid camel color which goes well with the other material. Cloth lid holders were applied
as was original to this trunk. Not shown is a tray which is still in progress. It is a pretty nice trunk so
I'll try to do something a little different or at least decorate it up a bit to bring it into the rest of the
interior.
