A good pine flat top trunk with oak slats. The trim is a hard fiber substance that is sort of a tan or taupe color
and something a little different. Lots of hardware on this one and it comes with a working key. New stitched
leather handles were installed. This trunk measures 36.5"L X 25.25"H X 22.5"W.
The interior has been refinished in the same manner as the outside and quite clean in appearance. Of note is
that at one point the lid stay must have come loose and the lid fell backwards. When this occurred, it pulled 1
chunk of wood where the hinges were attached to the bottom section of the trunk. The nails securing the
hardware are curled back into the wood sort of like a fish hook and this is by design. Sometimes when things
such as this happen, the nails pull free, other times, they take a chunk of wood with them. The hinges are still in
perfect order and a repair was made to the wood mostly hidden by the 1 hinge involved. Opens and shuts
perfectly and really not an issue.
