This dome top trunk would come from the later 1800's and is super solid. Nothing overly rare about
this one but it has a nice rustic look with some of the old saw mill marks remaining. It is sporting its
original oak handles which are a nice touch. The latches work fine and the lock is complete
although no key is available. The trunk measures 27"L X 19"H X 17"W so it is a smaller antique
trunk but every bit as stout as the big boys.

The inside had a pretty decent look about it when found however the original paper was a bit worn.
Still, I thought it might be something that could be saved and worked into the overall rustic theme.
The interior lid has its original paper covering with colored paper on each side of a lithograph of a
pretty young lady. The tray just had plain paper which has a decent about of wear and an original
1930's lithograph was added of some folks on a horse drawn carriage going over a bridge talking to
another fella on a horse down in the creek. The inside bottom has a checkered pattern paper. I
darkened everything a bit and then placed it all under finish coating.  It is very suitable to use as you
wish.
