Large Dome Top Trunk
New Tray
Circa 1915
SOLD

A handsome metal clad dome top trunk from the early 1900's. It is a large size trunk at 35"L X 28"H X
20.5"W.  The trunk is very well made and the dome construction solid wood strips in the same
manner as an oak barrel. Plenty of slats encircle the trunk and it is just solid as a rock. There has
never been any rust on the exterior metal and it has a fresh coat of red and black paint. The slats
were taken darker and are adorned with their original brass buttons which are nice accents. All
hardware is original and in great condition. The trunk opens, shuts, and latches perfectly. The
bottom is like new with the original wheels intact.

The inside is covered in a good quality material that is brown in color. It has a nice suede feel about
it and I will include some spare material should there ever be a mishap. It's a pretty easy one to
match up regardless. Seemed like it needs a tray inside so I will include a nice new tray.

To keep the site friendly, I try to reduce our image sizes. On occasion that makes our painted trunks
look a little "blotchy". It is not the trunk, just me as the photographer should that be the case.
