A very nice antique or vintage automobile trunk made by the Auto Luggage Factory out of Houston
Texas. I am unsure what antique cars/trucks this particular one fits so will just you the dimensions
and hopefully someone figures it out. It measures approx. 36.25"L X 22.5"H X 18"W which makes it
a fairly large automobile trunk.
I like this one a good deal more than many that I see in that the exterior is a treated canvas rather
than metal. On the top and front is a large (same size) raised design that is quite nice and could be
accented to match your vehicles color and pretty much the entire trunk would still lend itself to
custom painting with no problems. We will let you handle that part and for now the trunk is offered
as shown. The corners are leather and tightly studded to give a nice rich look. Both the top and the
front of this trunk open to allow access to the contents or you can just open one of the two. Some
slight wear to the bottom edges and the bottom itself was recovered and is now fresh and good to
go. The handles are original and still strong.
The interior is mostly original being a black treated linen type material which is in wonderful shape
and cleaned up nicely. The very bottom piece of material was missing when found and the
underlying wood painted green. I will recover this for the buyer but thought it a good opportunity to
bring in another color to go along with the vintage auto in some manner. If you wish it black as was
original, no problem. If you want to shoot me another color to work from, I will make some effort to
incorporate that into the trunk with the understanding that it probably needs to be fit the application
ie. fairly stain/water resistant.
