A very nice antique trunk that would date back to the 1860's.  It measures 28.5"L X 21"H X 18"W and
we know much of the history of this trunk as it includes its original makers label, the original owners
brass name tag with city name, and a very nice steamship label from the Peoples Line Steamers
with a photo of the
Daniel Drew, a steamship that came on in 1860 and served for twenty-five years
on the Hudson River.  It is best know for a great number of Currier & Ives colored lithographs and
for being the fasted steamship in the word during its day.

The trunk retains its original lock, metal banding and numerous brass buttons. The color is quite
beautiful with various shades of brown. The inside is exposed wood that has been fine sanded and
treated much the same as the exterior.  It is clean, smooth, and fresh.

Everything is very solid and the trunk displays wonderfully and with much character. The bottom
middle picture is the makers label and is attached to the inside lid. The other two bottom pictures
are the original owners brass name tag and the steamship boarding label. They were removed from
the trunk for refinishing and can be left off and included with the trunk are I would be happy to
reattach in their original positions or the location of your choice,
