Rust and odors are removed and we can work toward saving any external coverings or remove them if you desire to expose the underlying wood. Structural repairs are made if needed and missing hardware replaced with exact same type when possible or closest match. Plain tin will be repaired or replaced and finished in the proper manner based on our discussion. Embossed tin can repainted as original or in the manner you desire or removed if not salvageable to expose the underlying wood. 5. The exterior wood, slats and or trunk body, will be finished using only quality materials. I offer a variety of stains, natural oils, and finishes depending on the look you seek. 6. If desired, the original interior lining will be removed and the inside wood refinished or relined with a wallpaper covering and trim. Fabric can also be installed should that be your preference. 7. We can fit your trunk with a tray if needed, rebuild inside compartments, shadow boxes, a trunk stand, and always willing to entertain your creative suggestions. 8. Our goal is to offer you both original antique trunk restoration services as well as custom antique trunk refinishing to suit your personal tastes or decor needs. 9.
