| Earlier 1900's antique Hoosier style cabinet by Sellers of Indiana. Very solid construction with the original porcilin top in very good shape hidden under a very thick and nice leather hide it would appear. All the cabinet doors and drawers appear to be correct except for the bottom drawer under the two other drawers on the right when facing the cabinet. The paint has been stripped from this one and a slightly dark stain applied which gives it a rather distressed look. However, it appears that a quality wood such as the lighter Mahogany or perhaps Cherry may be lying below. On a piece of this size that would most definately be a plus. The original front tambor doors are not present and the "baking" sifters and other accessories original to the cabinet are missing as well. Still the overall shape of this cabinet, existance of the original top under a heavy leather covering and starkness of the custom stain would make this a noticable item in any kitchen. Should original condition be desired, restoration parts are available from a number of online resources and the current finish easily removed if desiredd. |
